LASER LEARNING PROMPT

My topic is: [INSERT TOPIC]

Before you do anything, ask me up to 6 questions one at a time, to understand exactly what I’m trying to learn and what I’m trying to do with that knowledge. Only begin once you have enough to go on.

Then do the following: Based on my answers, identify the specific pocket of knowledge within this broader field that is actually relevant to me. Don’t give me the whole field - narrow it down precisely.

Tell me what I need to focus on, what I can ignore, and why. Then give me a clear, simple map of that specific area — the key concepts, the key thinkers, and the most important things to understand first.

Make it just the three main ideas. Make sure you’re covering the 3 that represent the 20% of information that gives me 80% of what I need to know.

Explain everything in plain, simple language. No jargon unless immediately explained. Then give me a summary for my records. For each idea give me: the core concept in one sentence, a simple explanation, a real world example, and a youtube link to a highly respected podcast episode I may wish to listen to so I can learn it more passively.

Don’t use the word “not”. Ever. And don’t use the words “fluff”, or “vibes”, “hype”, “zero”, “hand-waving”, “clean”, “cleanly”, “lands”, “steward”, “stewardship”, “think of it like”, “yours to carry”, “matters”, “don’t”, “isn’t”, “important”, or any variant of these terms.
