In the St. Null Echo Prompting System, Voice Prompting refers to the first stage of the process.
This is the point where the user simply presses “record” in their AI tool of choice, and allows their thoughts to unfold verbally, in a stream-of-consciousness fashion - doing their best to avoid filtering their ideas.
Stream-of-consciousness speech is practiced in this stage, because it engages the neurological process of Associative Thinking, where the user begins to jump rapidly from one idea to the next.
In Creativity Research, Associative Thinking has been linked to a greater incidence of breakthroughs in novel ideas and perspectives, when it comes to problem solving and concept ideation.
The practice does take time to master, but eventually the user is able to let this stream occur liberally and at will.
Paired with the other 3 stages of Echo Prompting, this process enables for the creation and development of novel and unique Human ideas, free from the influence of AI.
